Scholarships

To make the Golf Course Turf Management program more affordable, Rutgers offers one of the richest pools of scholarship opportunities in the country. Incoming first year students may fill out the first year scholarship application. You may also use our on-line turf management scholarship application form.

Second year students will be eligible to apply for a slice of the $75,000 merit based scholarships awarded through the Center for Turfgrass Science. Click here to complete the two year golf turf management scholarship application form.

Loans

When applying for a student loan to attend the Professional Golf Turf Management School, please be mindful of the potential issues surrounding obtaining a loan and be vigilant in securing your financial arrangements early.

We suggest that you approach your local banks as well as search the internet since lenders change their policy often. We have set up an account with SallieMae Career Training Loans. These are private, credit based loans and you may follow this procedure to start their loan process:

October 12, 2009 Update: Please note these changes if you are applying for a SallieMae loan. Our department is actively registered for Smart Option Loans. If you already have a Career Training Loan in process, do not worry. There will be an overlap. All these programs are private, credit based loans.

Start your application – I am a student
Click: SallieMae Smart Option Student Loan
Apply with or without a co-signer (depending on your credit)
Select State – NJ
Select School – Rutgers University – OCPE – Cont Educ – 002629-97
Course of Study – other
Grade Level – First year freshman
Enrollment Status – half time

Continue with your application

Please pay attention to when your $1,000 deposit is due and begin to secure your housing. I am constantly getting new options for housing, so call me if you’re stuck.
